Meet Joey Harrison: Black Belt, golfer, fly-fisherman, Tavia’s husband and owner of The Brick. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, The Brick is a top-notch fitness and educational facility that specializes in the instruction of martial arts to all ages and skill levels. Also offered are after school childcare, summer days camps and adult group fitness. I first met Joey 2 years ago when we were moving to the island and I was in search of a new dojo for my children to continue their martial arts with. I was instantly impressed by his level of organization, professionalism and passion for his calling to grow the bodies and minds of our community’s youth. Over the last couple of years, I’ve learned much about Joey’s multitude of life experiences. Naturally, I wanted to know more so I could share it with you.
